Frequently Asked Questions about New Car Leasing (FAQ)
Can I lease a car from Porsche Bank without a deposit?
Yes. With Porsche Bank’s new car leasing offers, it is possible to lease a car without a down payment. If you wish, you can make a down payment of up to 50 per cent of the net purchase price – this reduces the monthly lease instalment accordingly.
What lease terms are available for new car leasing with Porsche Bank?
Porsche Bank offers leasing contracts for new cars with terms ranging from 36 to 60 months. The optimal term depends on your planned annual mileage and your desired monthly instalment.
What happens at the end of the lease term?
With residual value leasing, you have three options: return the vehicle and lease a new model, extend the contract, or purchase the vehicle at the agreed residual value. With hire-purchase leasing, there is no purchase option – the vehicle is returned with no further payment obligations.
What happens if I drive more kilometres than agreed?
An annual mileage limit is set when the contract is signed. If this limit is exceeded, a contractually agreed additional charge applies for each kilometre over the limit. It is therefore advisable to set a realistic mileage limit from the beginning.
Do I have to take out fully comprehensive insurance when leasing a car?
Fully comprehensive insurance is not a legal requirement, but is strongly recommended. As the vehicle remains property of Porsche Bank, fully comprehensive insurance protects the lessee from high costs in the event of damage – such as a total write-off or theft.
What documents do I need for a lease agreement?
A valid photo ID, proof of address and proof of income (payslips for the last three months or a tax assessment notice for the self-employed). Depending on your credit rating, further documents may be required.
