Questions about driving behavior scoring
What is the scoring model?
The scoring model evaluates your driving behavior and assigns points based on it. The maximum possible score is 100 points, which can be achieved if none of the evaluation parameters are exceeded.
Which parameters are used for evaluation?
- Speed Evaluation
- Adherence to the maximum permissible speed (outside Austria, 130 km/h is considered the maximum speed).
- The negative consequences of most accidents can be minimized when they occur at lower speeds. Therefore, exceeding speed limits negatively impacts the score.
- Safety Evaluation
- Rapid Acceleration
- Hard Braking
- High Cornering Speeds
The safety evaluation is based on the number of medium and high accelerations, braking events, and cornering speeds. These events are recorded during the drive using smartphone sensor data.
- Phone Usage
- Phone calls are detected by the smartphone operating system, and the app's backend identifies whether a hands-free device was used.
- Interactions with the smartphone screen, such as tapping and swiping, are recorded by the app.
How is the overall score calculated?
The score is based on the parameters above, with speed compliance having the highest weight.
